Last Saturday, September 16, we held a very successful Kart endurance race on the beautiful sunny kart track in the beautiful surroundings of Eefde.
We first had a delicious lunch on the cozy terrace and then started the briefing.
Simple and clear rules ensure that everyone knows what is expected, so get in and drive. On the way to the fastest time to determine the starting position. Some drivers huddled together on the straight to gain just a little more speed on the straight. After half an hour the qualifying time was over and the karts were put in the correct starting position.
The field started close together and therefore places were gained and lost here and there during the start. During the entire 2 hours the driving was neat, here and there really sharp, but also fair. Each team had to make at least 3 stops and everyone did this, some more often. Hot, full of adrenaline and enthusiasm, the drivers emerged from their karts during the change and after 2 hours the flag was waved. During the race, the app showed where everyone was positioned and it was exciting until the end.
After the awards ceremony, there was still plenty of time to chat about anything and everything while enjoying a snack and a drink.
