In recent years, we’ve organized a motorcycle tour with an instructor who monitored your progress and offered tips and advice. That was a good formula, but since then, some of the previous instructors have left, and finding a new one hasn’t been successful. Therefore, we’ve decided to organize a “regular” motorcycle tour again, meaning without an instructor and relying solely on your own common sense and riding skills. We think that should be doable.
The ride will take place in the Achterhoek region, starting at restaurant HJ’57 in ‘s-Heerenberg. They open at 10:00 AM. We’ll start with coffee (or tea) and apple pie, after which we’ll set off towards Winterswijk around 10:30-10:45 AM. We’ll have lunch nearby and then continue along scenic roads to Doesburg, where we’ll partly follow the IJssel River. The ride ends in Doesburg, where we can grab a soft drink at Arsenaal 1309 before heading home. We expect to arrive there between 3:30 and 4:00 PM. The ride is approximately 165 km long.
Because there’s no instructor to pay, we offer this motorcycle tour, including a cup of coffee and a piece of cake at the start and a lunch halfway through, at no cost to participants.
