Report Volante Motor Tour 2025

Note; the post below has been translated with Google Translate.

On September 13th, a group of seven motorcyclists rode the Motorcycle Tour in the Achterhoek region.

Unfortunately, two participants had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances. We covered a distance of approximately 165 kilometers from the beautiful town of ‘s-Heerenberg to Doesburg.

We largely followed the German border to the area around Winterswijk, after which we crossed over to the IJssel River at the picturesque village of Bronckhorst, which can also be reached by ferry from Brummen. The weather forecast was somewhat mixed: some rain was possible, so extra caution was advised as the back roads can be somewhat slippery during the harvest season.

However, we didn’t experience a single drop of rain and saw plenty of sunshine during the tour, so the weather gods were kind to us. The Achterhoek is a beautiful area to ride through, with lovely, meandering roads and many well-maintained small villages. After a lovely ride, we enjoyed a soft drink or coffee in Bronckhorst before heading home. Incidentally, most of us couldn’t stay dry any longer…
